APC leaders in Cross River and Zamfara states have called for improved election strategies to prevent past failures. In Cross River, Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of State for Industry, warned the party against repeating its poor performance in local government elections. He emphasized the need to win all 18 local government areas in 2027.

In Zamfara North, APC aspirant Sani Shinkafi criticized the party leadership for mishandling the primary election process. He urged the national leadership to ensure a free, fair, and transparent process. Shinkafi expressed dissatisfaction with the current approach, which he believes undermines the party’s credibility.

Meanwhile, in Osun State, APC chieftain Olatunbosun Oyintiloye cautioned opposition politicians against using Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigations as a tool for political pressure. He warned against politicizing the agency’s work to target President Bola Tinubu.

The APC has also defended Tinubu’s administration, stating that the president has not failed on his campaign promise to improve electricity supply. The party plans to present a scorecard of progress ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Additionally, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda highlighted the economic and security benefits of the Trans-Sahara Superhighway project. He noted that the ongoing reconstruction of the Akwanga-Jos section is expected to transform the northern economy.

These developments reflect ongoing internal party dynamics and strategic shifts within the APC as it prepares for future elections. The party is balancing internal reforms with external political pressures, aiming to strengthen its position ahead of the 2027 polls.
