President Bola Tinubu officially launched his re-election campaign in Kaduna on Saturday, vowing to continue his economic recovery efforts and deliver prosperity to Nigerians. Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally, Tinubu accused opposition parties of creating hunger and poverty, while emphasizing his administration’s commitment to addressing the country’s economic challenges.

Senior Special Assistant to the President, MR Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, stated that Tinubu’s administration has achieved significant milestones and deserves re-election in 2027. The rally, organized by the APC Presidential Campaign Council, saw Tinubu reaffirm his vision for sustained development and national progress.

Director General of the APC-PCC, Senator Abdul'aziz Yari, assured Tinubu of strong support from Northern power brokers, traditional rulers, and Islamic clerics. Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, also pledged that northern voters will reward Tinubu’s efforts with their votes in the 2027 election.

Tinubu’s campaign comes amid growing political tensions, with opposition parties urged to address internal divisions rather than blame the administration for their struggles. Some critics, including Dino Melaye, have questioned Tinubu’s leadership, calling him a “prodigal son” without a clear national identity.

The 2027 election is shaping up as a key contest for Nigeria’s political future, with Tinubu’s re-election bid backed by key regional allies and his administration’s economic agenda. As the campaign gains momentum, the focus remains on Tinubu’s ability to deliver on his promises of prosperity and national unity.
