Nigeria has secured over $8 billion in investment deals through its participation in the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC). The deals include equipment purchases, service partnerships, and project funding. These agreements were facilitated by relationships built during the conference.
The Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) reported the investment success. PETAN has consistently participated in the OTC, which is a major event for the global oil and gas industry. The association highlighted that its presence at the conference helped secure the deals.
Nigeria has been actively engaging in international energy forums to attract foreign investment. The OTC, held annually in Houston, Texas, brings together industry leaders and investors. This participation aligns with Nigeria’s broader strategy to boost its oil and gas sector. The $8 billion in investments is expected to support infrastructure and operational projects in the country.
