During a weeklong operation, Philippine police arrested eight individuals and confiscated 116 firearms. The operation, conducted by Police Regional Office (PRO-12) in Soccsksargen or Region 12, targeted illegal firearms.

Brig. Gen. Alan Manibog, head of PRO-12, reported that police executed 109 operations against loose firearms between October 26 and November 1. The campaign focused on reducing the availability of unlicensed weapons in the region.

The crackdown follows increased concerns over firearm-related crimes in the area. Authorities have been intensifying efforts to control illegal arms following a series of incidents linked to unregistered weapons. This operation is part of broader national initiatives to enhance public safety.
