President Bola Tinubu has pledged to prioritize education, economic recovery, healthcare, and citizens’ welfare if re-elected in 2027. He made the commitment during an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in Port Harcourt. Tinubu emphasized the need for focused efforts to address national challenges and improve public services.

The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has called on Tinubu to ensure free, fair, and credible elections in 2027. The group accused the ruling party of betraying democratic principles and urged the reinstatement of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Fubara has pledged his state’s support for Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing the president’s past assistance during a political crisis in Rivers State.

Tinubu also acknowledged the support he received from Rivers State residents during the 2023 election, which helped him secure his current mandate. He has also criticized former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, stating that Atiku was part of those responsible for the challenges he is now addressing.

In separate developments, former Anambra State Governor Willie Obi challenged Tinubu to explain how he has used savings from a ₦15.8 trillion subsidy and over $100 billion in borrowed funds. Tinubu responded by criticizing Obi’s handling of economic issues in Anambra.

The 2027 election remains a key focus for Tinubu’s administration, with political alliances and public support playing crucial roles in determining his re-election prospects.
