The Indian Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal, met with executives from Blackstone, Neuberger Berman, and Estée Lauder during his recent visit to the United States. The meetings focused on strengthening investment linkages and exploring business partnerships between India and these multinational firms.
Goyal discussed potential areas of collaboration, including infrastructure development, technology transfer, and market access. The talks aimed to identify opportunities for Indian companies to expand their operations in the US and for US firms to invest in India’s growing economy.
This visit follows a series of high-level economic dialogues between India and the US, including the 2023 India-US Trade Policy Forum. The minister emphasized the importance of private sector engagement in driving economic growth and innovation. The discussions also touched on regulatory frameworks and policy reforms that could facilitate smoother business interactions.
