Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Donald Trump of betrayal during an exclusive interview, citing the U.S. President's diesel deal with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Zelensky claimed the agreement would lead to more civilian deaths and warned Kyiv is "losing" America’s support.
Zelensky also criticized the Trump administration for allegedly throttling Starshield, a military version of Starlink, which Ukraine relies on for drone defenses. Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, blamed the Trump administration for the slowdown, which he said could endanger lives by limiting Ukraine’s ability to coordinate attacks.
Russian strikes have left 600,000 Ukrainians without power, according to reports. The attacks coincide with growing concerns over the impact of Trump’s policies on Ukraine’s military capabilities. Zelensky emphasized that the diesel deal and Starlink restrictions are undermining Ukraine’s defense efforts.
The situation has intensified tensions between Ukraine and the U.S. As Trump’s actions are seen as undermining American support for Kyiv. Zelensky’s accusations highlight the political and military stakes of the ongoing conflict, with Ukraine facing both external threats and internal challenges in securing critical resources and technology.
