The Pakistan Army's intelligence wing has confirmed it carries out 200 counterterrorism operations daily, targeting militant groups in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The statement comes after the removal of a facilitator accused of obstructing counterterrorism efforts in the region.
The Directorate General of Intelligence and Security (DG ISPR) highlighted the persistent threat posed by militants in the two provinces, emphasizing the need for sustained intelligence-based operations. The removal of the facilitator, whose role was to hinder military efforts, marks a significant step in improving operational effectiveness.
This development follows months of increased militant activity in the region, with reports of several attacks attributed to groups linked to global jihadist networks. The Pakistan Army has been intensifying its operations in response, with a focus on disrupting militant supply lines and communication networks. The situation remains tense, with security forces working closely with local authorities to maintain stability.
