Yemeni government forces launched over 1,200 strikes on Houthi targets within a single day, according to a military spokesman. The attacks were part of the ongoing "Dawn of Yemen" campaign against the Iran-backed Houthi group. The strikes targeted command-and-control centers, defensive positions, supply lines, and weapons depots.

Col. Majed Al-Nuzaili confirmed that forces also conducted precision operations deep behind Houthi lines to disrupt their activities. The military claimed the strikes aimed to degrade the group’s operational capacity and hinder their ability to sustain attacks. The campaign has intensified in recent weeks as tensions between Yemen and the Houthi rebels continue to escalate.

The conflict in Yemen has been ongoing since 2015, when a coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE intervened to support the government against the Houthi rebels. The war has resulted in widespread destruction and a severe humanitarian crisis, with millions of people in need of aid. Recent attacks by the Houthi group have prompted international concern, with several countries calling for a ceasefire and renewed diplomatic efforts.

Efforts to broker peace have included high-level meetings between regional leaders, including Iran’s security chief and the Saudi Arabian, Turkish, and Pakistani representatives. Egypt has also approved military support for Saudi Arabia in response to the escalating attacks. The situation remains volatile, with both sides continuing to exchange fire and claim military successes.
